A rabbit is a little animal that lives in jungles.
Scientists have counted so far more than 50 kinds. First fossils of this animal
were found in the north of America.
Nowadays, it can be found everywhere, but do you know why their ears are
big?
The rabbit is a weak and coward animal. It’s usually
surrounded by enemies and predators. This is why it has big ears, to hear any
sound. Big ears have the ability to receive sound waves. The sound waves take
moves to the inside ears. They allow it to run away when someone or something
is coming.
Land rabbits spend the whole day underground. Between
the sunset and the sunrise, they come out looking for food. They also have a
good smell sense. They have long feet; help them to run so fast.
They run 65 km / hour. The rabbits eat mainly
grassland and other abutilons. And rise in number so fast. After 40 days of
been pregnant, they give birth. In spite of threatens of predators and enemies,
the rabbits still exist thanks to the average of birth. The birth average is 10
to 12 new rabbits each year.
